Emergency Services
Emergency services can be accessed throughout Amherst County by dialing 911.
Fire and rescue services are provided by six volunteer fire departments and six volunteer rescue squads located throughout the County. Further information is available on the
Department of Public Safety website.
Law enforcement is handled by the
Sheriff's Office.
