The Amherst County Animal Care Center is a shared facility with Amherst County Animal Care and Control Officers and Adoption Center of the Humane Society of Amherst County. The hours of operations are:

The Center is composed of 8,974 square feet and includes the following:
- 42 kennel runs for dogs
- 19 cages for cats
- State-of-the-Art air exchange unit for disease control
- Durable epoxy and urethane finish in all animal housing areas
- Reeled hose cleaning system
- Vehicle sally port for a safe loading and unloading in a secured area
- Administration office space
- Animal Control Officers - office space
- Generator for emergency keeping of animals
Adoption Center:
- 14 kennel runs for dogs
- 6 cages for cats
- Fenced outdoor dog play area
- Animal bathing area
- Adoption interview room
