Rules of Procedure

Preamble
These rules of procedure (“Rules”) are established for the convenience of the members of the
Amherst County Board of Supervisors (“Board”). A violation of the Rules shall not affect the
legality or enforceability of any action the Board takes.
The Rules may be amended at any regular meeting or any properly called special meeting that
includes amendment of the rules as one of the stated purposes of the meeting. Adopting an
amendment shall require an affirmative vote of a majority of the Board.
The Board may adopt special rules of procedure to cover any situations not adequately
addressed in the Rules. Adopting a special rule of procedure shall require an affirmative
vote of a majority of the Board.
