Amherst County Human Resources Regulation
Effective July 1, 2023
The Amherst County Human Resources Regulation (HR Regulation) encompasses those personnel policies and provisions with which Amherst County employees are required to follow and comply. Changes may be made to the HR Regulation by the County Administrator when there is a legitimate business need and become effective after being reported to the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting. Once the minutes from the meeting are approved, the most current version of the HR Regulation is posted here, and the changes are provided electronically to employees by Human Resources. The HR Regulation is not an explicit or implied contract of employment and does not preclude the responsibility of employees to follow other local, state, and federal regulations.
